Six Westwind Professionals Awarded Pervious Concrete Contractor Certification
Westwind Consulting is proud to announce that six of its professionals have been certified as Pervious Concrete Contractors.

Company President Waldemar Polizzi joined Josh Sowards, Michael Anderson, Robert Parks, Ricardo Polizzi, and Austin Yelvington in successfully completing the coursework for certification.

Pervious concrete is an environmentally friendly construction technique that uses concrete as an environmentally friendly alternative to asphalt. For example, a pervious concrete parking lot offers the following advantages:

o Reduced energy demand for lighting
o Reduction in energies required for maintenance and repair
o Reduced heat island effect
o Reduced cooling loads on nearby structures
o Can contain recycled material
o Concrete is manufactured locally
o Concrete doesn't waste packaging materials

With its new certification Westwind has the capabilities and licenses to assist companies seeking to use concrete as a cost effective, environmentally friendly alternative. The securing of these certifications is further evidence of the Westwind commitment to delivering state-of-the-art solutions to our clients, as well as our continuing dedication to environmentally friendly practices.
