Westwind announces the completion of the first phase of a pilot program to mitigate hazardous material generated by an old cement plant in Flagler County, FL.

Stack dust has accumulated during many years at the site of the plant, which is located on a valued area of the county. Westwind was approached by the owner of the land to engage in a site clean-up. Based on the Company's past experiences and expertise, Westwind professionals designed a process that was approved by DEP (Department of Environmental Protection) to safely clear the area, remove and transport the hazardous material to a storage area with special liners and installed monitor devices. The Company is set to initiate Phase 2 - the re-use of the material to produce soil cement that will be sold to customers in the area.
