CU Soil™

CU SoilTM is a distinct process developed by scientists at Cornell University (http://www.hort.cornell.edu/uhi/outreach/csc/) that allows for the safe bearing of pavement loads after compaction while still permitting root penetration and vigorous tree growth.

CU-Structural Soil® or CU-SoilTM was recently patented and trademarked to insure quality control. The US based developer of structural soils for use in erosion control - Amereq - has been awarded an exclusive licensing agreement with Cornell University's Research Foundation. Amereq has set up a network of select trained and qualified companies to produce and sell CU-Structural Soil® and CU-SoilTM.

Westwind has been certified and licensed by Amereq to produce and sell CU-SoilTM - making Westwind one of the primary sources for this new revolutionary urban tree mix. With Westwind's participation, project designers can now provide ample rooting area for street trees, decreasing tree mortality and sidewalk failure.
