We take special pride in our in-house state-of-the-art fully equipped survey department. As with so much we engage, Westwind is a pioneer in our sector and among the first company of our kind in the entire State of Florida to develop and work with  Agtek Grade Model 3D and Cat's AccuGrade GPS 3D systems for dozers and motor graders. This does not only mean that we are dedicated to deploying technology to better serve the companies and agencies we work with, it also means that we are able to deliver a more sophisticated, better service.

To transfer our know-how into real field advantage, all of our dozers and motor graders are equipped with Cat AccGrader Systems, which serve to significantly increase our productivity and reduce costs for our customers. Most importantly, the systems serve to markedly improve worksite safety because there is no need for grade stakers or grade checkers to be on-site and in close proximity to heavy equipment.

Our technology enables us to receive sets of plans, digitize them and create auto cad and/or Agtek files so that we can work with 3D models, which allows us to design with accuracy so we can check the opportunities to lower costs and save the project money. Once the project is set on the design, we build a final 3D model that is placed onto our machines and base stations - ensuring accuracy and efficiency because the operator now has all the information on the job displayed on a small screen inside the cab. The hydraulic controls on the machine are also programmed to operate based on the 3D model.

Our system allows for on-the-fly changes at minimal cost because all it takes is a change in the program and the creation of a new 3D model. It is easy, fast and cost effective - 3 primary virtues we hold dear at Westwind.
