Westwind Contracting Inc. stands out as one of Florida’s most esteemed contracting firms, providing a comprehensive range of expert services alongside a proven track record of capabilities and dedication. Founded by Mr. Marion Mosley in 1986, we have proudly contributed to the development and prosperity of Florida. Our journey began with mining projects in western Miami-Dade County, from which we swiftly advanced to site development for prestigious residential communities, including Arvida’s Weston, Turnberry Associates/CMC Group’s Porto Vita in Aventura, and the Key Marco development near Marco Island. These landmark projects opened doors to further endeavors, such as road construction.
Consequently, Westwind has undertaken numerous environmental projects, including initiatives in the Everglades,and National Park’s Hole-In-The-Donut Wetlands Restoration and Mitigation Project. Over the years, we have consistently delivered high-quality services while remaining true to our core company values.
Our unwavering ability to adapt and expand has been key to our ongoing success. We have introduced new services, including underground utilities, water treatment facilities, site development, hydraulic restorations, mitigation efforts, levees, and water control structures.
Waldy Polizzi began his journey with Westwind in 2003 as an equipment manager. Through dedication and hard work, he rose to the positions of Vice President and then President. In 2016, after 13 years of service, he took ownership of the company. Together with his committed team, Waldy continues to uphold Westwind’s foundational values of honesty, safety, efficiency, quality, and expertise. At Westwind, we take great pride in our contributions to building this wonderful community and eagerly anticipate many more years of impactful work ahead.
