The SJRWMD is one of five state water management districts across the state of Florida. They’re tasked with monitoring water resources both above and below ground across east-central and northeast Florida. The responsibilities range from insuring water supplies are accessible, maintaining a high level of water quality, defending against floodwaters, and protecting the natural systems in the environment. Westwind has spent years working with SJRWMD on numerous projects across multiple counties. We have redirected canals in Emeralda Marsh (Eustis, FL), Three Forks Marsh (Palm Bay, FL), and Lake Apopka (Apopka, FL.)We’ve also constructed and repaired levees throughout the district. Westwind is honored to work with SJRWMD in maintaining and restoring Florida’s natural beauty.
